Job summary

CompucomStaffing is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide on-site IT support across Paramus, NJ and surrounding areas. The role involves traveling daily to multiple store locations and handling hardware, cabling, printers and network equipment.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year IT support experience, A+ certification, and strong customer-service skills. Lifting up to 25 lbs and working with various OS platforms are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year of IT technical support experience.
• A+ CompTIA certification required.
• Technical hardware experience required.
• Net+ CompTIA certification is a plus.
• Field service experience preferred.
• Exceptional Customer Service and relationship building competence.
• Excellent time management and reporting skill.
• Familiar with Windows OS, macOS, Linux/Unix.

Responsibilities

• Understand AC/DC and backup power concepts.
• Triage, troubleshoot and resolve to client scope on IT equipment.
• Occasionally work at heights of 20 to 25 feet; lift equipment training provided.
• Document efforts, issues and resolutions, close cases daily.
