Job summary

BearCom is seeking a Field Service Technician II to install and support wireless communications systems. You will work on UHF/VHF and 800/900 MHz networks, dispatch consoles, BDA/DAS, microwave and CCTV equipment, delivering exceptional customer service.

The role requires hands-on RF knowledge, regional travel, on-call hours, and a proactive approach to diagnosing, repairing and programming RF gear while advising customers on best-fit solutions.

Qualifications

• Proficient electronics background with RF knowledge.
• Experience diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing RF equipment.
• Understanding two-way radio theory and RF propagation at various bands.
• IP networking experience a plus and proficiency with MS Office.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regionally.

Responsibilities

• Create mid-level programming codeplugs (12+ channels, trunking, multiple zones).
• Install and service wireless communications equipment (UHF/VHF and 800/900 MHz systems, dispatch consoles, BDA/DAS, microwave, wireless broadband, CCTV).
• Recommend appropriate equipment and hardware that meets customer requirements.
• Travel regionally and/or overnight; on-call hours may be required.
• Provide exceptional customer service and diagnose/repair RF gear.
