Job summary

BearCom is seeking a Field Service Technician II to install and support wireless communications systems. You will work hands-on with UHF/VHF, 800/900 MHz systems, DAS/BDA, and related equipment, delivering reliable service and customer satisfaction.

The role emphasizes on-the-job training, regional travel, and on-call shifts. Candidates should have RF experience, perform diagnostics, and install equipment while maintaining high safety and quality standards. Valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing, repairing, programming and installing RF equipment.
• Extensive knowledge of two-way radio theory and RF propagation across bands.
• Ability to interpret schematics and diagrams; familiarity with power and test equipment.
• Bachelor-level or associate electronics background preferred; CET a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create mid-level programming codeplugs (12+ channels, trunking, multiple zones).
• Install and service wireless communications equipment (UHF/VHF and 800/900 MHz systems, DAS/BDA, CCTV).
• Recommend appropriate equipment meeting customer requirements.
• Some regional/overnight travel and on-call hours may be required.
