Job summary

Aventiv Technologies in Charleston, SC seeks a hands-on Field Service Technician to install, repair, and service telecommunications hardware and network equipment in correctional facilities. You will travel to sites to resolve issues, perform site surveys, and provide equipment setup and training as needed.

The role requires 3 years of telecom installation/repair, experience with Windows OS, VOIP, and networking, and the ability to manage inventories and document service records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience installing, repairing telecom and networking devices.
• Knowledge of Windows OS, VOIP, Cisco IOS, Fortinet and wireless tech.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, maintains, programs, and installs telecom hardware and networking equipment in correctional facilities.
• Install phones, kiosks, tablets, and related equipment at sites within area.
• Support site surveys, pre-bid meetings, and sales conferences.
• Coordinate with dispatchers and provide ETAs for arrival/departure.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and escalate with cross-functional teams.
• Educate and train customers on Securus products and services.
• Handle administrative tasks, data entry, reporting, and evidence media as needed.
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and assets.
