Job summary

Aventiv invites applications for a Field Service Technician to maintain and repair telecom and networking equipment, install Securus products, and support tablet programs at correctional facilities in the Charleston area.

You will travel between sites, perform on-site and roving duties, assist in installation, training, and troubleshooting, and ensure inventory and equipment are properly managed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3 years of installation repair and maintenance of telecom and networking devices.
• Experience with Windows OS, VOIP, Adtran Fortinet, AOS, Cisco IOS and wireless technology.
• Telephony experience including pulling cable and terminations.
• Experience with cat3/cat5/cat6 cabling and testing.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, maintains, programs and installs telecom and networking hardware and related equipment in correctional facilities.
• Repairs/installs phones, kiosks, video terminals, WAPs, tablets and other equipment.
• Support site surveys, pre-bid meetings and sales conferences.
• Communicate ETA and assignments to dispatchers; coordinate with teams.
• Troubleshoot when standard procedures fail; collaborate across departments.
• Provide training and information to Securus customers and support teams.
