Job summary

IEM is seeking a Field Service Technician Level II to perform start-up, commissioning, installation, testing, troubleshooting, and service for IEM equipment. You will diagnose issues, resolve moderately complex technical problems, and serve as a trusted field contact for customers.

This role requires strong diagnostic abilities, independent work, and the ability to mentor Level I technicians. You will coordinate with Project Managers, contractors, and internal teams, with substantial travel to

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent experience in power distribution systems or related equipment preferred.
1+ years of experience supporting switchgear start-up and commissioning required.
Minimum 1–3 years of related electrical, mechanical, technical, manufacturing, or field service experience preferred.
Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills are required.

Responsibilities

Independently perform start-up, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, service, and repair of IEM equipment.
Install and modify electrical or mechanical components and subassemblies.
Attend project meetings and coordinate with contractors, clients, Project Managers, and internal teams.
Analyze system failures, identify root causes, and determine corrective actions for moderately complex issues.
Troubleshoot electrical circuits, control wiring, and networking equipment.
Document service activities, root causes, corrective actions, and parts usage.
