Job summary

IEM is seeking a Field Service Technician Level II to perform start-up, commissioning, installation, testing, and service support for IEM equipment in the field. This role requires diagnosing moderately complex issues and providing guidance to Level I technicians when needed.

Travel up to 75% to regional offices and client sites is expected, with a focus on safe, high-quality installations and timely problem resolution for power distribution systems.

Qualifications

1+ years of experience supporting switchgear start-up and commissioning.
Associate degree or equivalent preferred.
Read electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

Independently perform start-up, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, service, and repair of IEM equipment.
Install and modify electrical or mechanical components and subassemblies.
Attend project meetings and coordinate with project managers and internal teams.
Analyze system failures and determine root causes for corrective actions.
Accurately document service activities and follow-up items.
