Job summary

Canon U.S.A., Inc. in Irving, TX is seeking a Field Service Technician to diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures and to service Canon equipment. You will maintain knowledge across product groups and perform on-site maintenance while managing reports and company assets.

The role requires a HS Diploma or equivalent with 1–2 years of related experience, travel ability, and willingness to work 24/7 shift rotations, including obtaining necessary clearances.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience, plus 1–2 years related experience.
• Basic understanding of internet environments and the PDIF new-hire class.
• Ability to travel with a valid driver's license.
• Capable of working in a 24/7 environment with shift work and on-call rotations.
• Must obtain security/clearances required by customers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures.
• Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications.
• Maintain knowledge of multiple product groups and basic troubleshooting.
• Meet and exceed customer demands with on-site maintenance.
• Maintain Field Service Reports and Canon property.
• Provide direction to less experienced technicians.
• Resolve escalated technical or customer-service issues for requested territories.
