Job summary

Canon U.S.A., Inc. Irving, Texas, is seeking a Field Service Technician II to diagnose and repair Canon equipment, perform on-site maintenance, and support customer networks with a focus on reliability and service quality.

The role requires 1–2 years of related experience, travel ability, and the PDIF new-hire training. A valid driver’s license and the ability to lift 50 pounds are essential, with a transportation allowance offered.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required, plus 1 to 2 years of related experience.
• Basic understanding of internet environments and completion of the 120-day PDIF new-hire class.
• Must be able to travel with a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Must obtain security and/or other clearances as required by customers.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be active more than 50 percent of the time.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures.
• Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications.
• Maintain knowledge of multiple product groups and basic troubleshooting approaches.
• Meet customer demands with efficient, responsive, on-site maintenance.
• Maintain Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and Canon property.
• Provide direction to less experienced technicians and share technical information.
• Escalate and resolve technical/customer service issues for any territory.
