Job summary

Canon USA in Irving, TX seeks a dedicated Field Service Technician. The role focuses on diagnosing mechanical, software, network, and system faults, performing service and repairs to Canon standards, and maintaining comprehensive field reports and equipment records.

The position requires travel, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work 24/7 with on-call rotations. Compliance with customer policies (including COVID-19 measures) may apply.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of internet environments.
• PDIF new-hire class is required.
• Willing to travel with valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 environment with shift and on-call rotations.
• Must take steps to obtain required security/clearances.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures.
• Service and repair designated Canon equipment to Canon standards.
• Maintain knowledge of multiple product groups and perform troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Meet customer demands with efficient, responsive maintenance on field/shop/on-site.
• Maintain technical information, Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and Canon property.
• Provide direction to less experienced technicians and maintain Canon property.
• Resolve escalated technical or customer-service issues for any territory requested.
