Job summary

Canon U.S.A., Inc. is seeking a customer-facing Field/Shop/On-site technician to diagnose and repair Canon equipment across multiple product groups. You will complete training, travel as needed, and support customers with reliable maintenance in a 24/7 environment.

The role requires basic networking/PC skills, the ability to lift 50 pounds, and willingness to obtain customer-specific clearances. Competitive hourly compensation is provided.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required, plus 1 to 2 years of related experience.
• Basic understanding of internet environments and ability to complete intro period and PDIF class.
• Ability to travel (valid driver's license and acceptable driving record).
• Capable of working in a 24/7 environment with shift work and on-call rotations.
• Must take steps to obtain security/clearances for customers to enter premises.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be active more than 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures.
• Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications.
• Maintain working knowledge of multiple product groups and basic troubleshooting/diagnostics.
• Meet/exceed customer demands by providing efficient, responsive field/shop/on-site maintenance.
• Maintain all technical information, Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and Canon property.
• Provide direction to less experienced technicians and maintain all Canon property.
• Offer solutions for escalated technical and customer service issues for any territory.
