Job summary

Zund America, Inc. in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, the US HQ for Zund Systemtechnik AG, seeks a Field Service Technician I. You will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Zünd digital cutting systems at customer sites across North America, with some international travel.

You’ll also provide remote support and complete service reports and documentation. Ideal candidates have strong mechanical/electrical skills, can work independently, and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required; some college preferred.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
• Critical thinking and real-time problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently under guidance and travel up to 80%.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient in MS Office; CRM familiarity beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on Zünd equipment at customer sites.
• Provide timely telephone and remote technical support.
• Prepare service reports and warranty documentation accurately and promptly.
• Document service activity and machine data in Salesforce CRM.
• Escalate complex issues to internal resources as needed.
• Train customers on equipment and software, on-site and remotely.
• Support trade shows and demonstrations, including weekend travel.
