Job summary

EnerSys is seeking a highly motivated Field Service Technician I to join our team. You will provide on-site service, maintenance, and repair for a diverse range of energy systems at customer locations, specializing in UPS, switchgear, and related equipment for telecom, data centers, and critical power applications.

You will shadow experienced technicians, travel to sites, perform basic inspections, and ensure safety and compliance while maintaining service records and supporting customers with

Qualifications

• Basic mathematical and mechanical aptitude; foundational electrical knowledge.
• Availability to work non-standard hours in a 24/7 work week.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs. and carry equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Shadow experienced technician on service calls.
• Travel to customer sites for installation and repair of equipment.
• Under supervision, perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships and communicate with internal teams.
• Maintain accurate service records and service reports.
• Manage company assets, including service vehicle, parts inventory, tools, and test equipment.
