Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Field Service Representative in the U.S. to service power distribution and critical infrastructure equipment. The role involves on-site startup, repair, preventive maintenance, and field modifications at customer sites, with travel as needed.

You will read blueprints, diagnose issues, and work with customers, electricians, and support teams. The job emphasizes safety, problem solving, and ongoing training to support reliable electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or trade/vocational certification (electrical) or similar experience.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics.
• 2+ years of field service repair and customer service with UPS/power systems.
• 2+ years in Field Services or equivalent industry experience.
• Adherence to safety procedures (lockout/tagout; OSHA/NFPA-70E preferred).
• Safe driving and vehicle operation skills.

Responsibilities

• Pre-site startup, repair, preventive maintenance, and field modification of equipment.
• Solve problems with customers, electricians, sales partners, and technical support teams.
• Complete field service reports, expense reports, and startup/PM data sheets.
• Collaborate with the District/Regional Service teams to resolve escalated issues.
• Engage in ongoing product training and field learning.
