Job summary

EnerSys is seeking a highly motivated Field Service Technician II to join our Energy Systems team. You will ensure customer equipment operates at peak performance through on-site service, maintenance, and repair, supporting critical telecom, data center, and utility infrastructure.

You will travel to sites, troubleshoot issues, and provide customer training while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. The role requires lifting, ladder work, and flexible hours including nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 ½ years of field service experience in electrical, telecom, or energy-related fields.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and test equipment (Aptitude exam is part of application process; 70% passing score required).
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as schematics and manuals.
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record for insurability.
• Availability to work non-standard hours in a 24/7 work week.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs. and carry equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to perform basic installation, preventative maintenance, and basic repair of battery equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose common technical issues, replace defective parts, and reassemble equipment.
• Provide on-site technical assistance and training to customers on the safe operation of their equipment.
