Job summary
Carl Zeiss Industrial Quality Solutions, LLC is seeking a Field Service Technician in Fremont, CA to install, repair and calibrate high- tech machines at customer sites. You will interact with customers and cross-functional teams and assist R&D with engineering tasks related to design, build, and testing.
An emphasis on learning new skills on CMMs, ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting, and willingness to travel are required.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED or technical schooling; 1–2 year technical degree acceptable.
- Experience with hand tools and basic electrical test equipment.
- Excellent communication and customer service aptitude.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, troubleshoot, service and calibrate high tech machines at customer locations.
- Demonstrate customer service skills with passion and dedication.
- Learn new skills on CMMs using mechanical and electronic aptitude.
- Perform administrative paperwork accurately.
- Be solutions-oriented and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Travel 90–100% within service area, including international travel as needed.
