Job summary

ZEISS in Seattle, WA is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, repair, and calibrate high-tech machines at customer sites across the region. You will collaborate with service teams to support ZEISS products from installation through field testing.

The role requires hands-on electrical and mechanical aptitude, experience with CMMs, and strong communication. Expect 50+ hours weekly, with 90–100% travel and occasional international assignments; a technical background is essential.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Technical schooling or college degree in electronics or industrial mechanics preferred.
Military technical training acceptable.
Must have experience with hand tools and basic electrical test equipment.

Responsibilities

Install, Repair, Troubleshoot, Service and Calibrate high tech machines at customer locations.
Demonstrate customer service skills and knowledge with a high level of passion and dedication.
Demonstrate the ability to learn new skills on high tech CMMs using mechanical and electronic aptitude.
Perform required administrative paperwork accurately.
Be solutions-oriented and able to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Travel 90-100% within service area; international travel as needed.
Other duties as required.
