Job summary

ZEISS Industrial Quality Solutions, LLC in Hartford, CT is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, repair, and calibrate high-tech machines at customer sites. You will interact with customers and cross-functional teams, supporting R&D engineering and system assembly as needed.

The role emphasizes hands-on service, strong customer communication, and willingness to travel nationwide and internationally.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
AS/BS in Electronics, Industrial Mechanics or military technical training, or 4 years related experience.
Experience with hand tools and basic electrical test equipment.
Microsoft Windows operating system knowledge required.
Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds unassisted.
Willing to work at least 50 hours per week (regular + OT).
Able to work in an industrial production shop floor environment.
Valid driver license required.
Excellent communication and customer service aptitude.

Responsibilities

Install, Repair, Troubleshoot, Service and Calibrate high tech machines at customer locations.
Demonstrate customer service skills and knowledge with a high level of passion and dedication.
Learn new skills on high tech CMMs using mechanical and electronic aptitude.
Perform administrative paperwork accurately and completely.
Be solutions-oriented and able to work independently in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Travel 100% within the United States and internationally as needed.
Other duties as required.
