Job summary

ZEISS is seeking a Field Service Technician to support the Seattle, WA area and surrounding regions. You will install, repair, and calibrate high tech machines at customer sites, ensuring outstanding service delivery and customer satisfaction.

You’ll interact with customers, support R&D collaboration, and assist production during assembly and setup. The role requires heavy travel, a strong technical background, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Technical schooling/associate or bachelor’s in electronics or industrial mechanics is a plus.
• Military technical training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, troubleshoot, service and calibrate high tech machines at customer locations.
• Demonstrate customer service skills with passion and dedication.
• Learn new skills on high tech CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines) using mechanical and electronic aptitude.
• Perform administrative paperwork completely and accurately.
• Be solutions-oriented and able to work independently in a high pressure, fast-paced environment.
• Travel requirement is 90-100% within the service area, including international travel as needed.
• Other duties as required.
