Job summary

Plug Power Inc. seeks a Field Service Technician for Walmart in Shafter, CA. You will service fuel cells in electric lift trucks, perform diagnostics, field upgrades and provide on-site support, reporting and maintenance at a fixed location.

Strong technical and communication skills are essential for customer interactions. The role requires a high school diploma with electrical coursework, 3+ years in mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• Three or more years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Valid driver license with clean driving record and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
• Knowledge of lift truck operation and applications preferred.
• General mechanical aptitude required.
• Proficient with Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook for job duties.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Creative problem solving and independent work capability.
• Punctual, reliable and committed to quality.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnostics, troubleshooting and evaluations to maintain fleet at a location.
• Field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades to existing fuel cells.
• Provide on-call and emergency support to customers as required.
• Purchase tools, equipment, and parts for service and support.
• Travel as needed and represent Plug Power professionally.
