Job summary

Plug Power Inc. in Lathrop, CA seeks a Field Service Technician to support fuel cell products in electric lift trucks, performing preventive maintenance and resolving breakdowns at a fixed location.

The role requires hands-on electrical/mechanical troubleshooting, field retrofits, software/hardware upgrades, and on-call support. You will report to the Field Service Department and travel as needed, leveraging strong communication and safety practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• 3+ years of direct mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
• Knowledge of lift truck operation preferred.
• Proficient with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and evaluate fleet at a location.
• Perform field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades.
• Provide on-call and emergency support to customers.
• Procure tools, equipment, and parts for service.
• Travel as required and adhere to safety practices.
