Job summary

Plug Power Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, service, and troubleshoot fuel cells in electric lift trucks at Walmart locations. You will handle diagnostics, field retrofits, software/hardware upgrades, and safety procedures while interfacing with customer personnel.

The role requires a minimum high school diploma with electrical coursework and 3+ years of mechanical/electrical troubleshooting. A valid driver's license and lifting capability are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• Three (3)+ years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Formal training and education may be considered in lieu of direct experience.
• Must possess a valid driver license, a clean driving record, and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds on regular basis unassisted.
• Knowledge of lift truck operation and applications is highly preferred.
• Computer and software systems skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites.
• Performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to maintain the fleet at a location.
• Performing specialized service procedures, including field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades.
• Providing on-call and emergency support service as required.
• Purchasing tools, equipment, and parts for customer service and support as required.
• Travel as required for business needs and communicate with customer personnel.
• Completing administrative duties & documentation including incident reports and service logs.
• Exhibiting and enforcing safety procedures in the field or customer sites.
