Job summary

Plug Power Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to support fuel cell systems in electric lift fleets at Walmart in Greenfield, IN. The role requires strong technical, diagnostic, and customer-facing skills, with on-site maintenance and repairs at a designated location.

Responsibilities include diagnostics, field retrofits, and upgrades, plus reporting, parts ordering, and safety compliance. Travel and on-site customer interactions are expected; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• 3+ years of direct mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Valid driver license with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
• Lift truck operation knowledge preferred.
• Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Independent work style and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnostics, troubleshooting, and fleet evaluations.
• Field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades.
• On-call and emergency support for customers.
• Purchase tools, equipment, and parts as needed.
• Travel as required and drive safely.
• Represent Plug Power professionally at all times.
• Complete administrative duties and site documentation.
