Job summary

Taylor Sudden Service (SSI), a subsidiary of The Taylor Group, seeks a Field Service Mechanic to support customers with diesel and hydraulic repairs and routine maintenance. You will travel to customer sites, diagnose malfunctions, perform repairs, and ensure proper reporting of time, parts, and travel.

Responsibilities include planning with the Service Supervisor, training lesser seasoned technicians, and ensuring high customer satisfaction with timely service calls and clear documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in diesel mechanics and hydraulics is required.
• DOT certification or eligibility is required.
• Ability to travel and stay overnight as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan work with Service Supervisor and schedule travel.
• Diagnose malfunctions and repair or replace parts.
• Provide tools and arrange facilities for repair on customer premises.
• Inspect and test machines after repair and at delivery.
• Complete work orders and related paperwork in a timely manner.
• Mentor or supervise junior servicemen on large repairs.
