Sudden Service, INC (SSI) Odessa, TX is seeking a Field Service Technician with diesel and hydraulic repair expertise to support maintenance and service for Taylor equipment. The role emphasizes on-site customer service, diagnostics, and timely repairs, with emphasis on safety and accuracy in reporting.

Qualified candidates will have vocational schooling in hydraulics and diesel repair, at least three years of on‑the‑job diesel hydraulics experience, and a valid driver’s license with a good

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• DOT certifiable. (Must be 21 years of age to be DOT certified).
• Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Consult with Service Supervisor to plan effective work and travel schedule, prioritizing customer needs.
• Diagnose malfunctions and repair or replace worn parts; install new assemblies.
• Provide tools, parts, and arrange facilities for on-site repair work.
• Inspect, operate, and test machines after delivery and after repairs to ensure proper function.
• Complete work orders and related paperwork in a timely manner.
• Train junior technicians or supervise teams on large repairs as needed.
