Job summary

The Field Service Specialist role focuses on after-sales support, diagnosing and repairing hydraulic/diesel systems, and training operators on machine functions and maintenance requirements.

Qualifications

• Three years of on-the-job experience in diesel mechanics and hydraulics.
• Some vocational schooling in hydraulics and diesel engine repair.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and DOT considerations.
• DOT certification eligibility or certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan work and travel with the Service Supervisor to prioritize customer needs.
• Diagnose malfunctions, repair or replace worn parts; test machinery.
• Provide tools and arrange facilities to perform repair work at customer sites.
• Inspect and test machines on delivery, intervals, and after repairs.
• Complete work orders and related paperwork in a timely manner.
• Mentor or supervise junior servicemen on large units or joint repairs.
• Maintain a neat appearance and keep the service truck in order.
