Field Service Technician – Packaging & Automated Equipment
Costa Mesa, CA | 70–85% Travel
Are you the person people call when a machine isn't running the way it should?
Harpak-ULMA is looking for an experienced Field Service Technician with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills to install, service and support automated packaging equipment at customer facilities.
You’ll work hands‑on with equipment including multi-head weighers, tray formers, tray sealers, fillers, dosers and form/fill/seal systems, diagnosing problems and helping customers get their equipment back into production.
If you enjoy troubleshooting machinery, working independently and being in a different customer environment from one week to the next, this could be a strong fit.
Experience with multi-head weighers is strongly preferred. Candidates with strong troubleshooting experience on comparable automated packaging, weighing, filling or electromechanical equipment are also encouraged to apply.
You don't need to know every Harpak-ULMA system on day one.
You’ll continue building your technical expertise through online learning, hands‑on training and field shadowing with experienced technicians, with exposure to multiple equipment technologies and product lines.
Work across multiple types of automated equipment rather than maintaining the same machinery every day.
You’ll diagnose real equipment problems and help customers get their operations moving again.
Build your expertise across mechanical, electrical, controls and packaging technologies.
You’ll work independently in the field while having access to technicians, engineers and service managers when a problem requires additional expertise.
If you’re a strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooter who enjoys travel, technology and solving equipment problems directly with customers, we'd like to learn more about your experience.
Harpak-ULMA is an equal opportunity employer.
