Job summary

Kodiak Gas Services is seeking an intermediate level Field Technician responsible for operating and servicing compressor packages, gas processes, and rental equipment. You will support maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs while building customer relationships and ensuring equipment availability.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting complex repairs, coordinating with Supply Chain for parts, and adhering to HSE standards. Requires strong mechanical aptitude and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Kodiak SSE program; 1–2 years field tech experience preferred.
• 3+ years compression/production equipment experience and/or training.
• Electrical troubleshooting skills.
• English reading/writing/speaking proficiency.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Directs and performs job activities per Kodiak procedures and objectives.
• Troubleshoot complex repairs and major equipment overhauls.
• Builds and maintains customer relationships.
• Communicates parts and inventory needs to Supply Chain for availability.
• Aims for 98%+ mechanical availability; takes corrective actions.
• Attends HSE meetings and adheres to safety protocols.
• Keeps assigned units clean and presentable; completes required reports.
• Provides 24/7 coverage; works overtime and on-call rotations.
