Job summary

Kodiak Gas Services is seeking an experienced Field Technician to support onsite compressor packages and gas processes in Midland, TX. This intermediate level role requires hands-on diagnostic, repair skills and the ability to backfill other field positions as needed.

You will build customer relationships, coordinate with Supply Chain for parts, and ensure equipment availability, while adhering to HSE protocols and working 24/7 with on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• OEM, Trade School or 2+ years related field/industry preferred.
• Successful completion of Kodiak’s SSE program; 1–2 years in an entry level Field Technician role.
• 3+ years experience in compression processes, production, and related equipment.
• Electrical troubleshooting skills desired.
• Strong teamwork, communication, analytical thinking, and customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Directs, coordinates, and performs field activities per Kodiak procedures.
• Troubleshoot complex repairs and major equipment overhauls.
• Build and maintain customer relationships.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain for parts availability.
• Maintain 98%+ mechanical availability of equipment.
• Provide 24/7 coverage and participate in on-call rotations.
• Complete required area reports and procedures.
