Job summary

Kodiak Gas Services is seeking an intermediate-level Field Technician to operate compressor packages, gas processes, and rental equipment. You will contribute to location policies, perform diagnostics, and support various field activities while maintaining high equipment availability.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, electrical troubleshooting, and the ability to work in a harsh environment. Travel may be required to customer sites, with 24/7 coverage and on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• SSE program completion recommended; 1–2 years in entry-level field technician role preferred.
• 3+ years compression, production, and equipment experience or training.
• Electrical troubleshooting skills required.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Directs, coordinates, and performs job activities per Kodiak procedures.
• Troubleshoot complex repairs and major equipment overhauls.
• Builds and maintains customer relationships.
• Assists with parts and inventory planning for optimal job performance.
• Maintain 98%+ mechanical availability and adhere to HSE protocols.
• Provide 24/7 coverage and participate in on-call rotations.
• Complete required area reports per procedures.
