Job summary

Kodiak Gas Services seeks an intermediate level Field Technician to operate and maintain compressor packages, gas processes, and rental equipment. You will contribute to location policy development, forecast materials, and support maintenance activities while ensuring high availability.

The role requires troubleshooting capabilities, customer focus, and the ability to work flexible hours including overtime and on-call rotations. Strong mechanical aptitude and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• SSE program completion plus 1-2 years in entry level Field Technician role preferred.
• 3+ years of compression process, production, and equipment related experience/training.
• Electrical troubleshooting skills.
• English reading/writing/speaking proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Directs, coordinates, and performs job activities per Kodiak procedures and objectives.
• Troubleshoot moderate repairs and major equipment overhauls and operation.
• Builds and maintains customer relationships.
• Manage parts and inventory communications with Supply Chain for adequate spares.
• Maintain 98%+ mechanical availability of equipment.
• Provide 24/7 coverage and participate in on-call rotations.
• Complete reports per area procedures.
