Job summary

Kodiak Gas Services seeks an intermediate Field Technician to operate and troubleshoot compressor packages, gas processes, and rental equipment. You will support maintenance activities, analyze parts inventory, and ensure high mechanical availability while adhering to HSE policies.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 3+ years in compression/production, and strong teamwork and problem-solving skills. Travel and on-call shifts are common in this field.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred completion of Kodiak's SSE program.
• 3+ years of compression, production, and related equipment experience.
• Electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Valid Driver's License with acceptable MVR.
• Cat Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor compressor packages and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot repairs and major overhauls.
• Backfill and assist other field positions as needed.
• Build and maintain customer relationships.
• Coordinate parts availability with Supply Chain to ensure readiness.
• Maintain 98% or better mechanical availability; complete required reports.
• Provide 24/7 coverage and participate in on-call rotations.
• Attend HSE meetings and adhere to protocols.
• Perform duties in a heavy equipment environment with PPE.
