Job summary

Everon is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform routine and emergency service calls, troubleshoot and repair equipment, and provide training to less experienced technicians. You will rely on your knowledge of intrusion, fire, CCTV, intercom, and access control systems, and you may travel as needed.

The role requires a High School diploma or vocational training, at least one year of experience, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma/Vocational Training.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience.
• Knowledge of trouble shooting commercial intrusion systems, fire systems, CCTV, intercom and access control systems.
• Working knowledge of local/national codes.
• Mastery knowledge of test equipment (multimeters, battery analyzers, decibel meters).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to clear a drug screening.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, policies, procedures in English.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and emergency service calls, troubleshoots, replaces, and/or repairs malfunctioning or inoperative equipment.
• Proctor, coach, and teach others when needed.
• Provide reliable, high quality customer support.
• Instruct customers on system operation and functionality.
• Perform system testing and signal verification.
• Maintain truck stock and tools inventory.
• Organize and utilize technical resources to complete tasks efficiently.
• Ensure progress and completion of assigned tasks.
• Document service activities and hours worked.
• Submit all required task-related activity reports in a timely manner.
