Job summary

Mazak Corporation is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, service and train customers on CNC Lathes and Machining Centers. You will travel from home to customer facilities, primarily in the Phoenix area, with overnight stays as needed.

The role requires 3–7 years of field service experience, a 2-year technical training, and the ability to read engineering drawings, understand PLCs, and handle HYD/Pneumatic circuits. Travel and customer interaction are core parts of the job.

Job description

Mazak Corporation is currently searching for a candidate who will install equipment, train customers, execute warranty repairs and provide after warranty service on CNC Lathes and Machining Centers. Field Service Technicians are assigned Regional responsibilities and operate directly from their residences. This position reports to the Arizona Technology Center. Duties involve overnight travel from home to various customer facilities, located primarily in the Phoenix, AZarea. Travel is required.

Scope and Responsibilities:

Essential duties include, but not limited to the following:

• Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees
• Install machines and accessories at customer sites. Installation includes all necessary assembly, leveling, aligning, adjusting, calibrating and wiring of machines and accessories.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and software problems on machines and accessories at customer sites.
• Test operation of machines and accessories after completing installation or repair
• Train customers on functions of the machines
• Learn new machines features and accessories as they become available
• Complete reports documenting installation, assessment of reported problem, repairs completed, parts installed
• Travel is required. Assignments will require overnight or multiple night stay.

Education/Certification:

• 2-year technical training in electronics, mechanical or machine tool assembly

Skills:

The salary range for this position is $70,926 to $109,025
