Job summary

Mazak Corporation is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, service and train customers on CNC Lathes and Machining Centers. You will travel from home to customer facilities, primarily in the Phoenix area, with overnight stays as needed.

The role requires 3–7 years of field service experience, a 2-year technical training, and the ability to read engineering drawings, understand PLCs, and handle HYD/Pneumatic circuits. Travel and customer interaction are core parts of the job.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of field service experience
• Read and understand engineering drawings
• Ability to work independently or in a group
• Ability to understand PLC
• HYD/Pneumatic circuits
• Lifting up to 50 lbs repetitively; heavier lifting occasionally
• Problem solving and reporting skills
• Strong problem-solving and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Install machines at customer sites including assembly, leveling, adjusting, wiring
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and software problems at site
• Test operation after installation or repair
• Train customers on machine functions
• Learn new machines/features as they become available
• Complete reports documenting installation, repairs, parts used
• Travel with overnight stays as needed
