Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Field Service Representative to perform installation, startup, repair and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment at customer sites. You will work with customers, partners and internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues while documenting activities.

The role requires 2+ years in field service or related experience, reading schematics, and strong safety practices.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or trade certification or Military training in electrical‑related disciplines.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics.
• Understanding of AC/DC power and related components.
• 2+ years field service repair and customer service with UPS systems and power distribution gear.
• 2+ years in Field Services or equivalent industry experience.
• Safety training and adherence to safety procedures; NFPA‑70E or OSHA experience preferred.
• Valid driving skills and ability to operate a vehicle safely.
• Experience reading schematics and operation manuals; writing service reports.

Responsibilities

• Pre‑site, startup, repair, preventive maintenance, and field modification of equipment.
• Problem solving with customers, electricians, sales partners, and support teams.
• Complete field service reports, expense reports, and data sheets for PM and startup.
• Collaborate with management to resolve escalated issues; ongoing training.
