Job summary

BearCom is seeking a Field Service Technician II to install and support wireless communications systems in the Houston–Deer Park area. You will be the customer-facing heart of our service locations, delivering expert installs and tailored solutions to meet challenging needs.

The role includes mid-level programming of codeplugs, installation and service of RF equipment (UHF/VHF, 800/900 MHz, DAS, BDA, microwave, CCTV), and occasional regional travel or on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Strong electronics background with RF knowledge.
• Experience diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing RF equipment.
• Understanding of two-way radio theory and RF propagation.
• Experience with test equipment such as communications service monitors, wattmeters, TDRs, FDRs, and multimeters.
• IP networking experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Drug screening, MVR, and background checks are part of the hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Create Mid-Level Programming Codeplugs (12+ Channels, Trunking, Multiple Zones).
• Install and service wireless communications equipment (e.g. UHF/VHF and 800/900 MHz systems, dispatch consoles, BDA/DAS, Microwave, CCTV).
• Recommend equipment and hardware meeting customer requirements.
• Some regional/overnight travel and on-call hours may be required.
