Job summary

BearCom is seeking a Field Service Technician II to install and support wireless communications systems across customer sites. You will craft codeplugs, install UHF/VHF and 800/900 MHz equipment, and ensure high-quality service and solutions for demanding customers.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in service diagnostics, strong RF theory knowledge, and proficiency with MS Office. Travel and on-call hours may be required, with extensive on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Service Technician experience in diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing Motorola, Kenwood, ICOM, Vertex equipment in the 2-way radio wireless field.
• Extensive knowledge of 2-way radio theory and RF propagation across frequency bands.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Journeyman level must be attained within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Install and service wireless communications equipment including UHF/VHF, 800/900 MHz systems, dispatch consoles, BDA/DAS, CCTV as needed.
• Create mid-level programming codeplugs (12+ channels, trunking, multiple zones).
• Recommend equipment and hardware meeting customer requirements; provide on-site support.
• May require regional/overnight travel and on-call hours.
