Job summary

BearCom is seeking a Field Service Technician II to install and support wireless communications systems across North America. You will configure mid-level programming codeplugs, install and service UHF/VHF and 800/900 MHz equipment, dispatch consoles, DAS/BDA systems, and related devices, while ensuring excellent customer service.

Travel regionally and occasional overnight stays are required. A strong electronics background, RF theory knowledge, and proficiency with test equipment and MS Office

Qualifications

• Extensive electronics background required with RF knowledge.
• Experience diagnosing, repairing, programming and installing RF equipment.
• Two-way radio theory and RF propagation knowledge across bands.
• Ability to interpret schematics and work with test equipment.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Install and service wireless communications equipment (UHF/VHF, 800/900 MHz).
• Create mid-level programming codeplugs (12+ channels, trunking, multiple zones).
• Install dispatch consoles, DAS/BDA systems, microwave and CCTV equipment as needed.
• Recommend equipment meeting customer requirements; provide strong customer service.
• Travel regionally and be on-call as required.
