Job summary

Toshiba America Business Solutions is seeking a Field Service Technician II to join the East Syracuse, NY area. In this role you will maintain, service, and repair printers, copiers, and other office technology at customer sites, while providing product training and on-site support.

You’ll diagnose issues, perform installations and upgrades, manage your schedule, and collaborate with customers to keep essential devices running effectively.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in technical repair, service, installation, training, or support of copier and office equipment.
• Intermediate computer skills and strong electro-mechanical aptitude.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform frequent bending, lifting, and reaching.
• Relevant education, certifications, or internships in related fields may be considered in lieu of the required experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service, and repair printers, copiers, and other office technology at customer locations
• Provide product training and support to customers
• Diagnose equipment issues and perform installations, upgrades, modifications, removals, and retrofits.
• Complete service calls based on priority while managing your schedule effectively
• Maintain parts inventory, tools, and test equipment, and perform preventative maintenance
• Complete required Toshiba, dealer, and manufacturer training, and rebuild components in the shop as needed
• Accurately document service activities and follow safety policies and procedures
• Provide guidance to less experienced technicians to support first-call efficiency
