Job summary

EnerSys is seeking a motivated Field Service Technician II to join our EnerSys Energy Systems team. You will perform on-site service, maintenance, and repair of battery and power equipment, supporting telecom, data center, and utility customers to keep critical systems running.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 1/2 years of field service experience in electrical, telecom, or energy‑related fields.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and test equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as schematics and manuals.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record for insurability.
• Availability to work non‑standard hours in a 24/7 work week.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and carry equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
• Aptitude exam with 70% passing score required.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to perform basic installation, preventative maintenance, and basic repair of battery equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose common technical issues, replace defective parts, and reassemble equipment.
• Provide on‑site technical assistance and training to customers on safe operation of their equipment.
