Job summary

EnerSys Energy Systems seeks a Field Service Technician III to install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot battery and power systems on-site at customer locations. The role emphasizes expertise, reliability, and strong communication with clients and internal teams.

You will diagnose complex issues, perform preventative maintenance, manage small field service projects, document activities, and mentor junior technicians while ensuring safety standards are met and downtime is minimized.

Qualifications

• Advanced field service expertise with proven ability to install, maintain, and repair complex battery and power systems.
• Strong customer focus and excellent communication skills for effective technical knowledge transfer.
• Comprehensive knowledge of safety and compliance standards (OSHA, DOT Hazmat, ISO9000).
• Experience in mentoring and training junior technicians.
• Project management experience for small-scale field service initiatives.
• Exceptional documentation, reporting, and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level technical support to customers, including installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of complex battery equipment and power systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot intricate technical issues using in-depth knowledge and advanced diagnostic tools.
• Perform preventative maintenance, system upgrades, and performance optimization to maximize uptime and reliability.
• Proactively identify potential issues and implement preventive measures to avoid costly downtime.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, communicating technical information clearly and professionally.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including OSHA, DOT Hazmat, and ISO9000 standards.
• Operate material handling equipment safely and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Mentor junior technicians, sharing expertise and supporting their development.
• Lead and manage small-scale field service projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to specifications.
• Meticulously document all service activities, maintaining maintenance records, repair logs, and customer interactions.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Analyze performance data and identify trends to improve service delivery and efficiency.
