Job summary

Western States Equipment Co. is seeking a field service technician to manage customer relations, schedule work, and perform diagnosis and repair of heavy equipment at customer sites.

The role requires strong knowledge of Caterpillar systems, a current CDL with air brake, and the ability to travel and work overtime. Candidates should have a high school diploma and five years of hands-on experience, with an associate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree or technical training preferred.
• Five years experience in diagnosis and repair of heavy equipment.
• Caterpillar experience preferred.
• Must own required tools and have CDL with air brake experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer base and territory; schedule all customer work.
• Conduct machine diagnostics and repairs to client sites; provide service as needed.
• Troubleshoot Caterpillar systems and repair new equipment models as required.
• Travel to customer locations; overtime and overnight assignments possible.
• Document service reports and communicate status to customers.
