Job summary

Western States Equipment seeks a skilled Field Service Technician to diagnose and repair heavy machinery at customer sites across the region. You will interpret test results, perform repairs, and communicate status and plans to customers, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Required are a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years in heavy equipment diagnosis, a valid CDL with air brake, and the ability to work overtime and travel.

Qualifications

• Proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Associates degree or technical training from an accredited vocational school preferred.
• Five years experience in diagnosis and repair of heavy equipment; Caterpillar experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy equipment in the field or at customer locations.
• Order parts as needed and document service reports and time entries.
• Communicate machine issues and repair status to customers.
• Maintain safety policies and professional conduct on the job site.
