Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Field Technician to support start-up commissioning, integration, emergency service and troubleshooting of 480VAC electrical bus duct systems including iMPB, HPB, TOB and metering communications.

The role emphasizes building strong rapport with customers and colleagues, maintaining clear communication with CRC, Supervisors, and managers, and upholding safety policies while delivering timely reporting and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• ASMET
• 1+ years of hands-on electrical environment
• Basic training in electrical theory and technologies
• Basic knowledge with electrical/electronic test equipment and fundamentals
• Mechanical aptitude
• Standard computer skills including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Valid driver's license is required

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

Responsibilities

• Assist in start-up commissioning, integration, emergency service and troubleshooting of Vertiv 480VAC iMPB, HPB, TOB and communications.
• Establish, promote and maintain excellent rapport with customers, co-workers, and sales representatives.
• Evaluate operating conditions of equipment.
• Interact comfortably with all levels of internal and external customers.
• Manage your own schedule with self-motivation.
• Respond to emergency calls at customer’s request.
• Strive for a first-time fix for equipment.
• Provide accurate and timely communication to customers.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with safety policies and laws.
• Provide accurate and timely reporting of timecards and expenses.
