Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Field Technician in the United States to assist with start-up commissioning, integration, emergency service, and troubleshooting of 480VAC/15KVAC switchgear including PDU, ATS, PDC, breakers, relays, PLCs, meters and related devices. The role requires mechanical and electrical aptitude and strong customer communication.

Responsibilities include on-site support, adherence to safety guidelines, and coordination with senior technicians and supervisors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ASMET preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Mechanical & Electrical aptitude
• 2+ years of hands-on electronic experience or field services.
• Training in electrical theory and technologies.
• Familiarity with electrical/electronic test equipment and fundamentals.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and blueprints.
• Regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
• Proficient with MS Outlook, Word and Excel.

• Rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Perform a variety of work-related tasks.
• Capable of working under general supervision but largely independent.
• Maintain certifications per Job Progression table.
