Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Field Technician in Charlotte to support start-up commissioning, integration, and troubleshooting of 480VAC bus duct systems. You will work to establish strong customer rapport, document time and expenses, and respond to emergency calls with a focus on first-time fixes.

Applicants should have at least 1+ year in an electrical environment, basic electrical theory knowledge, and proficiency with MS Office tools. A valid driver's license is required for travel and site work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• ASMET.
• 1+ years in a hands-on electrical environment.
• Basic training in electrical theory and technologies.
• Basic knowledge of electrical/electronic test equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• MS Outlook, Word and Excel skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in start-up commissioning, integration, emergency service and troubleshooting of Vertiv 480VAC bus duct systems.
• Maintain rapport with customers, co-workers, sales representatives and others.
• Evaluate operating conditions of equipment.
• Interact with internal and external customers at all levels.
• Manage own schedule and respond to emergency calls.
• Provide timely communication and reporting of timecards and expenses.
• Drive continuous improvement.
