Job summary

Vertiv in Atlanta is seeking a Field Technician to support start-up commissioning, integration, emergency service and troubleshooting of 480VAC bus duct systems. You will work with iMPB, HPB, TOB and metering communications, and perform mechanical repairs as needed.

You will report to the CRC and supervisor, manage your own schedule, respond to urgent calls, and strive for a first-time fix while following safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of hands-on electrical environment experience.
  • Basic training in electrical theory and technologies.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical/electronic test equipment and fundamentals.
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in start-up commissioning, integration, emergency service and troubleshooting of Vertiv 480VAC iMPB, HPB, TOB and communications.
  • Establish, promote and maintain excellent rapport with customers, co-workers and sales representatives.
  • Evaluate operating conditions of equipment.
  • Interact with all levels of internal and external customers.
  • Manage own schedule and respond to emergency calls.
  • Strive for a first-time fix for equipment.
  • Provide accurate and timely communication to customers.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and laws.
  • Provide accurate reporting of timecards and expenses.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement.
