Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Field Technician to support start-up commissioning, integration, emergency service and troubleshooting of 480VAC bus duct systems, including iMPB, HPB, TOB and metering communications, plus associated mechanical repairs.

The role requires building rapport with customers and coordinating with CRC, supervisor and manager while maintaining safety and reporting duties. Candidates need an electrical background and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ASMET certification preferred.
• 1+ years in an electrical environment.
• Basic training in electrical theory and technologies.
• Basic knowledge of electrical/electronic test equipment and fundamentals.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• MS Outlook, Word, Excel proficiency.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist with start-up commissioning, integration, emergency service and troubleshooting of 480VAC bus duct systems (iMPB, HPB, TOB).
• Establish and maintain rapport with customers, co-workers, and sales reps.
• Evaluate operating conditions of equipment and interact with all levels of internal/external customers.
• Manage own schedule and respond to emergency calls when required.
• Provide accurate and timely reporting and drive continuous improvement.
