Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Resource Coordinator to schedule service calls, manage technician calendars, and ensure timely preventative maintenance for customers in an on-site role. You will coordinate with billing and support teams to push completed jobs through the process and maintain accurate customer records in NxGen.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in service operations, strong organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal abilities to liaise with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required, plus 2–5 years of service industry experience managing service operations and/or scheduling.
• Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both internal and external clients.
• Ability to simultaneously handle a large and diverse number of projects, tasks, and issues with tact, cooperation, and persistence.
• Ability to prioritize work activities based on financial impact to desired business goals.
• Ability to influence diverse teams to accomplish tasks/goals.

Responsibilities

• Receive and schedule customer calls for service under supervision of the Area Resource Manager.
• Manage the schedule of assigned technicians and mechanics to align with preventive maintenance and forecasting goals.
• Debrief activities of technicians daily and resolve concerns quickly.
• Coordinate with Customer Billing Coordinators and Customer Support Coordinators to progress completed jobs.
• Communicate action plans and services to be provided directly to customers.
• Ensure work meets customer expectations and perform follow-up as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date customer account information in NxGen.
• Support parts ordering/PO creation and start-up activities.
• Monitor time and expense reporting, and reconcile exceptions.
• Attend daily team huddles and weekly planning meetings.
